Fundamental Overview:

The world's largest producers of oranges and frozen concentrated orange juice (FCOJ) are Brazil and the United States. Brazil in recent years has passed the U.S. to become the largest producer of FCOJ. Brazilian production is concentrated in Sao Paulo where about 95 percent of the citrus trees are grown. The domestic market in Brazil prefers fresh oranges that are squeezed for juice. Other oranges are processed from FCOJ and sent to export markets in the U.S., Europe and Asia. The U.S. and Brazil produce about 60 percent of the world's oranges. Other countries that produce oranges are Mexico and Spain.
